The police shooting of Mark Duggan in Tottenham in the summer of 2011 sparked a day and a night of unrest in London’s borough of Hackney. Rioters threw stones and bricks at the police and into shops and restaurants.

While this was going on, Stephen Gill picked up the used projectiles he could find on the ground and documented them back at his studio.

With an accompanying essay by Iain Sinclair, the Newspaper style publication displays the objects as forensic evidence and scientific findings.
