Melanie Mues is a London-based designer, art director and founder of Mues Design, established in 2001.
Her practice spans art, photography, and fashion, with a focus on editorial and exhibition design and the creation of visual identities for cultural institutions and independent brands.
She has collaborated with international art institutions and publishers including Tate, Hayward Gallery, Serpentine Gallery, Copenhagen Contemporary, Gropius Bau Berlin, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi, National Gallery London, Victoria & Albert Museum, AKG Buffalo, and Fondation Beyeler Basel.
In 2019, Mues art directed the visual identity for the 58th Venice Biennale Arte. Her award-winning work is particularly recognized in the photobook world, notably through her collaborations with Olivia Arthur, Stephen Gill and Martin Parr.
